Based on the data of water resource in each region, social economy development and urban environment of Yunnan Province in 2012, Water Resource & Society & Economy & Environment evaluation system is developed. Coordination of regional water resource and social economic development is analyzed with comprehensive index method. We drew the conclusion that with the development of social economy, the pressure on water resource is growing larger and larger. Such problem should be solved according to the coordination relationship between the water resource and social economy and environment in each region. In regions which have abundant water resource but low development in social economy, more water conservancy project should be carried out to improve the water resource utilization. In regions which have shortage in water resource but high development, inter-basin water transfer method should be applied, more efforts should be taken to conserve water and water recycle methods should be promoted.
