The comprehensive decision and consultation support system for flood control operation in the Yellow River(hereinafter referred to as the system)used the existing flood control operation application system and other relevant data as data sources. By adopting scientific data organizing and processing methods, and focusing on the consultation theme, the system made out the abundant information that met the needs of flood control consultation. Finally, the calculation results of various flood control information and related application systems were presented to the decision makers in an intuitive and visual form, assisting leaders and experts to judge. The system has been applied in flood control, ice prevention, water transfer, sediment and water resources management work, playing an important role now.
