    Abstract:

In this paper, based on the technologies of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) positioning and attitude sensing technology, a vehicle-mounted leveling control device of bulldozer was developed. The device in the driver’s cab displays the bulldozing elevation, blade attitude and elevation difference compared with the designed paving plane in real time, which can effectively guide the driver to adjust the blade operation. An integrated real-time monitoring technology was proposed for the earthwork filling and leveling of embankment with remote coordination of all parties involved in the project construction. Accordingly, the corresponding software system was also developed, which can realize the remote monitoring of pavement thickness and flatness during the whole process of embankment earthwork filling and realize the monitoring mode of “driver-manager-supervisor-owner collaboration”. The application in an actual project shows that the absolute error of system accuracy is within 3 cm, the monitored pavement thickness is 76.5 cm and less than the design thickness, and the paving flatness meets the control requirements. The system can effectively improve the quality of earthwork filling and paving of embankment, and ensure that the pavement thickness and flatness are always under real control.
