According to the latest statistical results of the current situation and reclamation of coastal beaches in Jiangsu Province, the basic situation of reclamation of coastal beaches is analyzed by combining with the results of Jiangsu “908” survey. Through field investigation, the main problems in the reclamation and development of coastal beaches are summarized. With regard to the three restrictive factors of development and utilization efficiency, mechanism of reclamation of coastal beaches and protection of coastal ecological environment, the following countermeasures are proposed: the development concept of planning in advance for coordination of land and sea, the development policies of government guidance and market operation, the development technology with upgraded technology and efficient development, the development system with legal and innovation management.
