The compensation standards for land requisition of water conservancy projects have been an important issue in the course of their construction. Using the historical comparative analysis method, three typical water conservancy projects in Jiangsu Province built during the planned economy period, the transitional period of planned economy to market economy as well as the market economy period are selected to analyze the harmony among the compensation standards for land requisition, influencing factors and social and economic environment. It is found that the growth rate of compensation standards for land requisition of water conservancy projects in Jiangsu Province is lower than that of GDP per capita and farmers'net income per capita, and it does not match with the economic growth. Some suggestions such as improving the dynamic adjustment mechanism of compensation standards for land requisition, setting compensation standards for land requisition to match with the economic growth and raising the individual income reasonably are put forward to improve the compensation policies for land requisition of water conservancy projects in Jiangsu Province, to guarantee the immigrants'rights and interests and to promote project construction.
