The construction of water-saving reconstruction projects in Hetao irrigation area in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the trunk stream of Yellow River is introduced. The polices of the control of the total water resources, appropriate water quantity, water-oriented development and utilization and protection of water resources “reversed transmission mechanism” are adopted to promote the transformation of development way and to accelerate the construction of water conservancy modernization in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region so as to realize ecological water conservancy and green development.
