Based on the summarization of the main methods for the management and protection of Fuxian Lake in Yuxi City, the existing problems and difficulties are analyzed. The following five suggestions are put forward to further strengthen the management and protection of Fuxian Lake: focusing on the coordinated development and clarifying the management and protection system and mechanism of Fuxian Lake, adhering to the planning leadership and speeding up the construction of key planning projects, strengthening the construction of “Four systems” and guaranteeing the smooth development of management and protection, promoting the basic research and strengthening the technical support, improving the mechanism of public participation in lake management and protection.
