Speeding up the construction of water network in the Yellow River Basin is an effective means to realize ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. At present, the Yellow River Basin has basically formed a water network layout composed of rivers and water supply projects, which has played an important role in water supply safety, but it has not completely solved the problems of insufficient water resources, poor regulation and control capacity, unbalanced allocation of water resources, etc. This paper expounds the background and connotation of the construction of water network in the Yellow River Basin, analyzes the problems faced by the construction of water network in the Yellow River Basin, and proposes the measures for the construction of water network in the Yellow River Basin. Under the framework of national water network construction, the water network in the Yellow River Basin will form a water network layout in the Yellow River basin with the main stream of the Yellow River and the west line project of South-to-North Water Transfer as the outline,the tributaries and water supply projects as the goal , and the seven key water conservancy projects in the main stream as the knot . The water network in the Yellow River Basin is of great strategic significance for realizing the spatial balanced allocation of water resources and building a new pattern of spatial balanced development of social economy in the basin.
