    Abstract:

    To solve the problem of large elevation difference in aggregate transportation in the main sand and gravel system, meet the spatial and planar layout requirements of the coarse crushing workshop and the semi-finished material pile, and reduce the operating cost of the sand and gravel system, the TB Hydropower Project uses downward belt conveyor with large inclination to transport aggregates. This paper introduces the conveyor from aspects of design parameters, operating principle, structural design, construction and commissioning, and considers that the conveyor not only has a simple structure, but also its main components can be interchangeable with those of a general belt conveyor, which facilitates use and maintenance and at the same time can save investment and operating costs of transportation equipment, showing good comprehensive benefits.
