    Abstract:

The impact of surface water and confined groundwater in aquifers on the construction quality of manually excavated piles was explored. In combination with the characteristics of quality defects that emerged during the construction process, the effectiveness and limitations of detection methods such as the low-strain method, sonic transmission method, and core drilling method, were analyzed. Through analysis of two typical quality accident cases, suggestions for reasonably selecting detection methods during the inspection of manually excavated piles are put forward.
