Advances in Science and Technology of Water Resources
Advances in Science and Technology of Water Resources, a bimonthly scientific periodical founded in 1981, is sponsored by Hohai University, which is an institution developing distinctive expertise in water resources disciplines over its nearly one hundred year history. The journal is devoted to the publication of papers concerning new techniques and new experiences in the fields of water science, water engineering, water environment, and water management, with topic focuses placed on water problems, academic study, engineering and technologies, reviews on special issues, and sci-tech news in brief. Each issue includes a table of contents in English, and each paper provides the title, name (s) of the author (s), an abstract, and key words in English.
The journal focuses on the following issues: sediment research and flood control after implementation of the Three Gorges Project, the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, integrated control of soil and water loss from the Loess Plateau, restoration of the Yellow River, safety of reservoirs and dams, early-warning forecast and risk management of floods in basins, rainwater and flood resources utilization, integrated technologies for safe water supply in rural areas, water-saving renovation in large-scale irrigation areas, and key technologies for regional water resources optimal allocation and safety assurance.
The editorial board of Advances in Science and Technology of Water Resources consists of academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a number of well-known experts and scholars in China.
The journal enjoys popularity in the fields of water science and water engineering. It is a source journal of the Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations Database (founded by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China), and Core Journal of China.
