Referring to the experiences from international trans-boundary cooperative management, deeper cooperation mode in districts around Taipu River is preliminarily established based on the committee discussion. The coordination committee for water resources protection in Taipu River, united by Taihu Basin Authority, Suzhou City, Jiaxing City and Qingpu District governments’ leading officials and relevant leaders, is founded as the authority of major affairs, including coordinating water resources development and protection along Taipu River and other connected important river channels, with technical committees attached to it. For the funding affairs, method of financial subsidies combined with multiple financing is proposed.
