In order to understand the influential degree of engineering water-saving measures on irrigation return water and the relationships among irrigation return water, irrigation total water and irrigation area and look into the influential degree of drip irrigation ratio on the irrigation return flows, the irrigation return water of different years is calculated and analyzed, figuring out that the irrigation return flow in Bayin River basin in 2011 and 2014 are 61. 702 million m³ and 37. 36 million m³, respectively. Taking different irrigation methods of drip irrigation and flood irrigation which may cause the variety in irrigation return flow into consideration, the equations to calculate the irrigation return flow are determined, according to the amount of irrigation return flow in 2011 and 2014.
