In order to analyze the water quality metabolism in the water metabolism system of Kunming, the major factors affecting water metabolism in Kunming and the 2017 water metabolism effect were assessed by adopting the urban water quality metabolism ecological network analysis method based on grey water footprint and by quantifying each process of water metabolism and constructing the network relation model of each component in the process of water metabolism. The results showed that under the current control measures, the pollution source of life in the city was still the main factor affecting the water metabolism, and the contribution of pollution was 35.33%, followed by the non-point source of urban rainfall runoff(23.12%). The overall water metabolism in Kunming is disordered.
