Abstract:During May and June 2014, the tension on South China Sea issue caught the eye of the world again. The sea policemen of the Philippines openly arrested Chinese fishermen at China's Half Moon Shoal. Vietnam also harassed China's 981 Offshore oil and gas platform at Hoang Sa Sea and broke out internal anti-Chinese riot. The United States pushes its Asia Pacific rebalancing strategy and involves more in South China Sea dispute. Countries such as the Philippines and Vietnam, which have disputed territorial waters with China, not only has strategic interaction with the US, but also avails this opportunity to carry out intensive regional activities at diplomatic, military and maritime safety level. Since the Philippines is a military weak nation, Vietnam prefers to interact with the Philippines politically and diplomatically at South China Sea and as ASEAN members, it is favorable for them to contact with each other. As the maritime disputes upgrading, their interaction becomes more intense and frequent. Therefore, accurate judgment and concise analysis of the features, pros and cons and the tendency of their interaction make contribution to knowing them in order to take more effective counter-measures.
