It is important for China's manufactoring industry to make good orientation in restructuring, upgrading and innovation for further development because of the increasingly severe resource and environment constraints.Based on the analysis of life cycle of China's manufactoring industry，the paper holds that full understanding of the development sages of the manufactoring industry may make relevant policies available so as to promote the development of the industry or be in the way of ids development. Based on the methods of output growth，industry growth curve and composite indicator analysis，the paper empirically analyzes the dada collected from 1993 t0 2014. The results show that the conclusion is the same on the basis of the above methods:One third of the manufactoring industry is sill at rapid growth sage，but half of the manufactoring industry is at mantre sage and small number of the industry is in recession phase. Therefore，innovative development or the transfer of production capacity may be used for the industry at different life cycle sages.
