Abstract:The discipline of comparative ideological and political education has experienced the development process of inoculation, initiation and growth in the last thirty years and its discipline consciousness has manifested as “identification”, “comparative study” and “intercultural dialogue” in turn. Researchers on comparative ideological and political education should deepen and emphasize discipline consciousness of “intercultural dialogue” by means of “focusing on the intermediary research”, “exploring cultural setting” and “improving practice quality”. Researchers also should turn to abide by discipline standard and pay attention to discipline status to promote the sound development of the discipline of comparative ideological and political education and make it become mature through inner impetus of discipline consciousness. Then on the basis of the enlargement, fullness and test of the research achievements of ideological and political education, the prospect of the discipline of comparative ideological and political education will be a bright one. Also, ideological and political education with rich Chinese characteristics should be checked by the research achievements of the discipline of comparative ideological and political education in the scientific development process.
