Abstract:The national governance in contemporary China is the state development concept that combines Marxist theory of state with the practices of China’s governance under the Communist Party of China (CPC). Marxism, as the fundamental guidance of the Party and the state, has the functions of theoretical support, value integration and public opinion guidance in the practice of national governance and is also one of the important ways of national governance. However, the emphasis on the application of technology and the theory of the guidance of thought are present under the influence of western governance ideology, which has adverse effects on using Marxist ideology as a function of national governance. Therefore, the functions of Marxist ideology can only be effectively fulfilled through consolidating their guiding position, and adjusting angles, enhancing proactivity and improving capacities in ideological work. Then, it is possible to facilitate the comprehensive realization of national governance objectives.
