Abstract:As a major manifestation of the slowmoving ocean disaster, sealevel rise has had a serious impact on the economic and social development of coastal areas. Based on the theory of SPRC, the influence mechanism of sea level rise on the development of coastal area is analyzed and the entropy weight method is used to quantify it. The study shows that the impact of sea level rise on coastal areas is complex and diverse, and is essentially reflected in the relationship among “sea level uptake disturbance, regional system sensitivity and regional coping ability”. It is also found that the comprehensive impact index is heterogeneous in the special characteristics of “middle part being low and north and south part being high.”, And there was a significant negative correlation between the coping index and the comprehensive impact index. Built on these findings, preventive measures to cope with the impact of sea level rise are proposed from the engineering and non engineering aspects, and all these measures may be a reference for the sustainable economic and social development in coastal areas.
