The Communist Party of China (CCP) has created a rich and united thought for the continuous innovation of Marxist unity view, including national unity, unity within the party, unity of CCP and the masses, interparty unity, and international unity. The theoretical quality of Marxism which takes political unity as the core and the rich goal is the theoretical quality of the party’s unity thought; various forms of unity, emphasizing organizational construction, theoretical education and learning and the socialism institutionalization of unity through political consultation system and the united front system are the practical trait of the party’s unity thought. The domestic and international situations are bringing new challenges to the cause of unity in the new era. It is necessary for China to promote the innovation of CCP’s unity theory and practice. In addition, Xi Jinping’s important exposition on unity is promoting the development of Marxist unity thought.
