China’s socialist ideology construction has gone through 70 years of ups and downs, and has gone through different stages of development, such as preliminary construction, twists and turns integration, rectifying chaos, transformation and reconstruction, innovative development and comprehensive deepening.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to retrospect and review the 70 years’ construction and to refine and summarize the valuable experience. These experiences mainly include: adhering to the guidance of Marxism is the fundamental observance of socialist ideology construction; the central work that fits the development of the country is the basic principle of socialist ideology construction; maintaining the fundamental interests of the people is the value orientation of socialist ideology construction; coping with the confrontation of various ideologies and cultures is an important measure for the construction of socialist ideology. At present, as socialism with Chinese characteristics enters a new era of development, it is still necessary to promote the popularization of Marxism in China and strengthen the ideological nature of ideology construction, vigorously promote economic development to consolidate the material foundation of ideology and enhance the reality of ideology construction, adhere to the ideological work orientation of “peoplecentered” to highlight the peopleoriented nature of ideological construction, enhance theinternational communication ability to promote the international influence of socialism and seek the globality of ideological construction.
