Abstract:Ecological products act as the bridge linking nature and society, and their value realization is a critical approach for jointly promoting high-quality economic development and high-level environmental protection. Through a case study of the value realization of ecological products in County A, it is found that the efficiency of ecological value realization is influenced by the “resource element-actor structure” and its process mechanism. The basic element system with ecological resource endowment and institutional policy environment as the core, and the actor structure with the participation of the government, market, and villagers constitute the core order parameters of “ecological value to output value”. The degree of matching and the aggregation effect in factor systems drive various stakeholders to establish an endogenous relationship characterized by equitable participation and orderly collaboration around the capitalization mechanism between “ecological aesthetics” and “economic value”. This activates and shares both value rationality and instrumental rationality across diverse factor resources, thereby building the factor systems that support the transformation of “ecological resources-ecological assets-ecological capital”, along with the underlying mechanisms and critical pathways for converting “resources into products” and “products into commodities”. Therefore, improving the value realization mechanism of ecological products is a “continuous spectrum” of long-term interaction between the main structure and resource elements. To realize the sustainable transformation of ecological value depends on the mutual adaptation between the two factor systems. It is necessary to establish a property rights verification mechanism for foundational resource elements, a coupling coordination mechanism for the “actor-resource” factor system, and an institutional arbitrage mechanism for the “resource-asset-capital” system, thereby laying a crucial foundation for the sustainable transformation of ecological value.
