Abstract:Marx’s world history theory reveals the basic characteristics, fundamental impetus, and development trend of world history, and provides a vision of “world history” for the practice of Chinese Modernization. Capitalism has opened up the process of world history and created enormous productive forces, but it has caused alienation between humans and nature, among humans, and within humans, hindering people’s comprehensive development. Chinese Modernization takes the world history dominated by the capitalist mode of production as the starting point for practice, creatively inheriting and developing Marx’s world history theory, covering issues such as world modernization and where human civilization is going. The world history implication of Chinese Modernization is mainly reflected in following the development trend of world history, adhering to the theme of “peace and development” in world history, and promoting the prospect of “a new form of human civilization” in world history. Practice has shown that Chinese Modernization not only conforms to the general trend of the world but also conforms to China’s reality, demonstrating the promising prospects of world modernization and human civilization. It provides Chinese approaches and wisdom for the choice of world modernization and the innovation of human civilization patterns, carrying profound theoretical, practical, and far-reaching world-historical implications.
